The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, has been rewarded with an award of excellence, in appreciation of the agency, as the Best Traffic Support Organization, by the management of Lagos Traffic Radio, 96.1 fm, in commemoration of the stations 10th anniversary.
Presenting the award, at the prestigious hall of D’PODIUM INTERNATIONAL EVENT CENTER, Ikeja, Lagos, the General Manager of the Station, Mr .Tayo Akanle, extol the contributions of TRACE in informing, sensitizing and educating the general public, particularly the motoring public, on the need to be safety conscious and considerate to other users of road, through on time and real time traffic alert, as it unfolds on frontier areas bordering Ogun and Lagos States, especially the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, which is the busiest expressway in West Africa.
Furthermore, Mr. Akanle saluted TRACE for enriching the content and acceptability of Lagos Traffic Radio, 96.1fm as a reliable, trusworthy and dependable station of repute, when it comes to traffic advisory, alert and situation report as it affects traffic flow, hold up and commerce.
In his response, the TRACE Commander/ Chief Executive, Cdr. ‘Seni Ogunyemi, who was represented by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Cdr Babatunde Akinbiyi, thanked the management of Lagos Traffic Radio, 96.1fm, for the award and assured of TRACE commitment towards ensuring safe and responsible driving along and around the boarder lines separating both states, for effective service delivery to be achieved, through prompt and credible traffic reportage.
