Abeokuta North Chairmanship Aspirant, Hon Akeem Oluseye (HAO) has urged the residents of the state to ensure the drainages are free of debris and clean environment to avoid flooding in this raining period.
He made this known after the heavy downpour yesterday that left some parts of the city flooded. Hon Oluseye said the efforts of government in making life worth living need to be appreciated and keeping the drainage free will go a long way in avoiding flooding.
He said, “dumping waste in the drainages is not the best practice especially now that the rain is here to avoid flooding. Thee raining season is here, and we all know that when our drainages are clear there will be free flow of water. The government would not do that for us,we need to do that for ourselves.”
He took the time to commiserate with people that are affected with yesterday’s flooding and pray such never occur again.
He also commended the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR as he has mobilised contractors to the site of roads started by the previous administration in Abeokuta North Local Government Area especially Lafenwa-Ayetoro Road.
Hon Oluseye said the completion of the roads will make life better for the people of the local government and Increase social and economic activities in the area.
